Colin Carter & Associates has been established to provide this survey-based support for evaluating board and individual director performance. All the directors of Colin Carter & Associates have a background in providing high level advice to major corporations in Australia and internationally.
Colin Carter
Colin retired as a senior vice president at The Boston Consulting Group in 2001, and he has since held a part-time role as senior advisor to BCG on corporate governance issues. Colin is a business strategist and consultant on company boards and has conducted board performance reviews for a large number of leading Australian and international companies. He is currently a non-executive director of two publicly listed companies-Wesfarmers and SEEK.
Colin graduated as a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University, and also has an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has held teaching positions at IMD Management School in Lausanne, at Yale University and at Melbourne Business School.
Terry Atkinson
Terry Atkinson is a business consultant who focuses on corporate strategy and organisation.
He was a Vice President and the Melbourne office leader of The Boston Consulting Group before retiring in 2003. He has also worked in the banking and insurance industries. Terry has taught at the MBA program at Melbourne Business School and currently lectures at the Mt Eliza campus of MBS.
During the past five years he has concentrated on boards of directors and has conducted performance reviews for some of Australia’s largest corporations
He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from La Trobe University and has an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
Bill Mountford
Bill has a wide range of experience in both the private and public sectors. He has run a number of Government agencies, most recently the Victorian Workcover Authority where he was CEO until 2003. He spent many years working as a consultant focused on strategic and organisational issues including board reviews.
Bill is also Chairman of Primecarers, a private aged services provider and a director of Melbourne Health, the State Government’s metropolitan health network based around the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Bill graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and has a Master of Philosophy in Economics from Cambridge University. He has also undertaken the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
